Biography:

Professor Linn was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Government, Harvard University from 1998 to 1999. She specializes in American political behavior and time series methodology. Her current research includes the development of models for repeated events; new theory and evidence on economic voting; the political roots of economic attitudes and economic uncertainty; the dynamics of the gender gap; and issue framing and attitudes toward the death penalty. Her work has appeared in the American Political Science Review, American Journal of Political Science, Political Analysis and the Journal of Politics. Her book The Decline of the Death Penalty and the Discovery of Innocence (Cambridge University Press, 2008, with Frank Baumgartner and Amber E. Boydstun) was awarded the Gladys M. Kammerer Award by the American Political Science Association for the best book on US national policy
